Chart of landings in Vierville
20

Legends of the table below:
in black:
Large barges (3 LCI and 36 LCT planned, 10 normal arrivals)
Small barges (93 planned, 50 arrivals) LCA, LCVP, LCM and DUKW
Rhino and LST pontoons have been postponed to 7 June
in blue: Infantry and Rangers
in green: armour and artillery
in red: the engineers
(i.e. only about 3000 men out of the 6000 planned on Vierville)
In violet: the initial losses are approximate in % of men actually brought to land
(i.e. very approximately 1000 killed, injured, missing on Vierville)
Material losses are significantly greater (50-80%?)
Among the 39 large barges planned in Vierville,
the 2 LCI arriving on Dog White were destroyed on site, the other LCI approached St-Laurent
10 LCT approached normally, sometimes on Dog White instead of Dog Green
8 LCT was destroyed, most of which was sunk offshore after damage caused by rising tidal obstacle mines,
17 LCT were delayed, most (approximately 13 out of 17) later pushed to St-Laurent or Le Ruquet
Of about 50 LCA , LCVP, LCM and DUKW arriving in Vierville, it is believed that only about ten could not leave the beach of Vierville, usually sunk back from the beach.
The other 43 small barges derived with current on St-Laurent or even further away.
Most of the vehicles landed were drowned by the rising tide. Only tanks survived with a few engineering vehicles and a few vehicles disembarked from midday.
Vessels and units scheduled to land after 10:15 are not counted and have generally been sent to other beach areas (St-Laurent and Le Ruquet most often).

Virtually no landings were made in the afternoon on Vierville Beach, except perhaps the 336th Engineers Battalion that approached Dog White with its LCT around 3:00 pm (at sea already low), while it was destined for Colleville. This unit immediately began to win through the beach its objective area and reached 2 hours later, losing only a few sappers in front of the descent of St-Laurent still held by the Germans.
